We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.The Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division is responsible for enabling and evolving Capital One's foundational cloud infrastructure layer, including observability, connectivity, resilience and availability. General Responsibilities:

• Design and implement LAN/WAN topologies and connectivity.
• Consult with various technology support groups as part of network design and development efforts. -
• Identify gaps in current design and research/propose appropriate solutions based on technical and business drivers.
• Lead/contribute to network solutions development, optimizations, standards, and technology refresh efforts. -
• Provide input to network design standards and maintain network topology diagrams and technical design documents.
• Participate in technology integration efforts with other engineering and support teams.
• Provide direct support of audit and ad hoc consulting engagements.
• Ensure compliance with departmental and enterprise security configuration standards.
• Engage with all internal and external parties as necessary to drive and complete work. -Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS Preferred Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience with Networking technologies (SDWAN, Cisco ACI, Equinix Cloud Exchange)
    • 3+ years of experience in network architecture, design and implementation
    • 2+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Nornir)
    • 2+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
    • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud serviceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Senior Platform Engineer -Richmond, VA: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer -Plano, TX: $115,900 - $132,200 for Senior Platform Engineer - - - - - - - -Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
