We are AAHA accredited and Fear Free Certified!Position Purpose:Bedford Oaks Family Vetin Bedford Oaks, TX is looking for a full-time lead veterinarian as well as a full or part-time associate veterinarian to join our team!Our practice has been serving the surrounding community for 25 years and has just recently relocated into a great new facility. We also won the 2023 Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorites award!Within our new facility we are proud to offer modern equipment and technology like cloud-based patient tracking, ultrasound, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, separate dental and surgical suites, new IDEXX in-house lab, and more.Our ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, driven veterinarian who is looking to join our family and guide a talented and dedicated team to the next level! Being so close to the downtown areas you have endless opportunities for great night life, restaurants, sporting events, and more.Essential Responsibilities:

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients medical records.
• Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
    • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
    • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:
