Lead Java Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Spring MVC, JavaScript, and MySQL. A strong background in the Airlines domain is essential. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel required.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Location: Dallas - TX USA
Responsibilities:

• Able to play a Java Senior Lead Engineer role.
  
• Participate in all the project key stakeholder meetings to understand the business requirements.
  
• As an individual contributor, complete the assigned user stories in a given sprint.
  
• Capable of designing the modules individually.
  
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies and perform all sprint-level activities.
  
• Own the end-to-end delivery of the assigned user stories/features (development to deployment) and resolve the team's technical issues.
  
• Good communication skills in commuting between offshore and onsite customer stakeholders.
  
• Play the Lead role for this requirement.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Minimum - 15 years of experience.
  
• Proficiency in Java Development.
  
• Primary skills - Java, Spring, Apache Kafka, Flink/Any data-streaming technology.
  
• Secondary skills - SQL/KQL, GitHub, Dynatrace, Micro-Services, MongoDB.
  
• Other Dev Ops Toolchain: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
  
  This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
