As a Platform Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.As a Platform Engineer for the CapitalOne Developer Platform you will play a crucial role in innovating databases like Oracle, Aurora, PostgreSQL and building automation with DevOps principles for AWS services like RDS, S3, IAM, Cloudwatch with CI/CD tools like Jenkins. You will be working on highly impactful work for the Capital One Auto Finance line of business. • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
• Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services -Basic Qualifications:
  • -High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • -At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS - -Preferred Qualifications:
    • 4+ years of experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, or CloudWatch)
    • 3+ years of experience with RDBMS Databases (Oracle)
    • 3+ years of experience with Python
    • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer Certification
