underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of
Commercial Real Estate relationships to achieve efficiencies and
quality of the process and product, assist in the retention and
expansion of existing client relationships, growth of total client
assets and net growth in relationships. Primary performance
responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the
merits of both new loan and renewal/modification requests
(including adherence to Lending Policy), preparing comprehensive
credit presentations, and monitoring loan performance to ensure
timely and accurate risk ratings. Contribute to special projects as
needed. May be involved with training and development of more
junior portfolio managers.
- Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each
client relationship complies with established Associated Banc-Corp
Lending Policy, Standard Operating Procedures and business strategy
as well as regulatory guidelines.
- As appropriate to experience, co-manage commercial real estate
relationships by analyzing borrower and guarantor financial data,
as well as property and market information to determine the merits
of specific loan request, including new originations, renewals,
modifications, and annual reviews.
- Responsible for monitoring portfolio performance and timely and
appropriate risk ratings.
- Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client
relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate
- Partner with Relationship Manager as the point of a contact for
the client; acting as liaison to Credit, support staff and other
internal business partners
- Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client

- Monitor loan repayment activities, property performance, and
financial condition of obligors
- Minimize portfolio exceptions with respect to past due
payments, annual relationship reviews, scorecards, reporting
requirements and covenant tests.
- Contribute to ad hoc special projects for the team or region as
needed
- May make presentations on specific loans and participate in the
bank's loan approval process.
- Participates in community and business functions/groups to
ensure a positive image for the bank within the region's
marketplace.Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience Finance or Accounting Required.Experience
- 4+ years Commercial Real Estate or Credit Approval
Required.
- 4+ years handling complex credits Required.
- 3+ years of experience sales/business development
Preferred.
- 2+ years Formal Credit Training Preferred.Licenses and
Certifications
- CFA-Charted Financial Analyst Preferred.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to
lawfully drive self, if applicable. Required by start date.In
